How does the secure process work?

After Boaters inquire about a dock they may secure it. Securing a dock notifies the dock owner that the boat is ready to be brought to the space within the next 30 days, and that they have committed to renting the dock for at least the first month of dockage if the length of stay is designated as one month or longer, or that they have committed to docking on a transient basis for up to 30 days.
